Make Room - Day 19

Scripture: Matthew 5:13–16

EXAMINE
Jesus calls His followers “the salt of the earth” and “the light of the world.” Kingdom people don’t retreat from the world; they live distinctly within it so that others “may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” Taking new ground means embodying kingdom values in ordinary places.

APPLY
Ask: In my home, workplace, and online presence, am I more shaped by the culture or by the kingdom? Are there places where your “salt” has lost its distinctiveness or your “light” has been hidden? Consider one practical way you can show the character of Jesus to someone today.

PRAY
Invite the Holy Spirit to search your lifestyle, speech, and habits. Ask Him to make you salty again—preserving and flavoring your environment with grace and truth—and to shine through you in such a way that people are drawn to the Father.
